Dr M Anne Harkness

Specialising in obstetrics and abdominal imaging

Anne is a New Zealand-trained Radiologist who completed her training in Auckland. At the end of this, she spent a year at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge (UK), before returning to New Zealand where she commenced Consultant positions at North Shore Hospital and Hibiscus Radiology.

Anne was at Waitemata Health for 20 years, including a period as Clinical Director at North Shore Hospital. She was also a partner at Hibiscus Radiology from 1991, until April 2019, when Hibiscus Radiology was taken over by Allevia Radiology and she joined the Allevia Team.

She has many years of experience in interpreting and performing Ultrasound scans, having a special interest in Obstetric, plus Abdominal imaging. She is a competent Sonographer, still performing many scans herself.
