Dr Margie Weston

Vocational Scope: Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, with a specialist interest in breast imaging.

Margie graduated from Otago University in 1986 and subsequently completed her training with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists in 1994. She underwent a breast fellowship in Perth, Australia, following completion of her general training.

Margie has worked as a specialist in the field of breast imaging since 1998, in both the public and private sectors. This has included mammography and breast ultrasound in Auckland and Christchurch, with particular interest in biopsy (fine needle aspiration, core biopsy, and vacuum assisted biopsy) and surgical localisation techniques.

She is a longstanding member of the Auckland Breast Cancer Study Group.
